El grupo LABE lleva desde el pasado mes de diciembre ofreciendo el Servicio de Orientación Jurídica de Madrid (SOJ), que se encarga, entre otras cuestiones, de asesorar en materia jurídica a las personas usuarias de los servicios sociales y las personas socias de los Centros Municipales de Mayores del Ayuntamiento de Madrid.
Este servicio de orientación jurídica lo llevaba prestando desde hace más de 30 años el Ilustre Colegio de Abogados de Madrid (ICAM) a través de un convenio con el Excmo. Ayuntamiento de Madrid.
El ICAM impugnó judicialmente la decisión de sacar a licitación pública este servicio al entender, en esencia, que el Excmo. Ayuntamiento de Madrid no tenía competencia en este sentido y que únicamente el ICAM podría prestar este servicio.
No obstante, recientemente, el pasado 17 de junio de 2020, se pronunció el Tribunal Superior de Justicia de Madrid indicando, en esencia, que el Excmo. Ayuntamiento de Madrid tenía plena competencia para hacer lo que hizo, por lo que se acomodaba plenamente a la legalidad sacar a licitación pública el SOJ. De esta manera, los servicios no tienen por qué ser prestados únicamente por el Colegio de Abogados de Madrid.
La presente nota de prensa se emite a los efectos de aclarar cualquier duda que pudiera existir sobre la cuestión y a asegurar que, desde el Grupo LABE, se seguirá trabajando para los usuarios del SOJ con el mismo grado de calidad que se había venido realizando hasta la fecha.
